We love our home!! The contemporary style sold on us on the house, but the design elements that have become more apparent through living in the house have made us fall in love. The contemporary design flows throughout the house and is really apparent in the open floor plan, the framing around the doors, the gorgeous hardwood floors, the fixtures in the chef’s kitchen, as well as the design themes in the guest and children’s bathrooms. Our love for the house does not come at a cost in energy efficiency. Our house meets an exacting standard in a number of areas: the tankless water heater, the high quality thermal windows, and the insulation level is exceptionally high for a house on the peninsula. All these elements are combined with an attention to detail that is very gratifying to see as a new home owner. Plus, Arcon has been very responsive and great to work with on some additional work we had done. Arcon Construction has provided excellent service to the clients of Michael Stanton Architecture (MSA) on two complicated San Francisco projects involving new construction on constrained urban sites. One was a two-unit luxury building on Church Street on a steeply sloping site where Arcon successfully dealt with a series of challenging engineering and construction issues. They are currently finishing with MSA on a three-unit residential project on 21st Street in San Francisco where, once again, they have been diligent, careful, and professional. In 2004 I had a little rotten cottage, 500 sq. ft. but in a good area of San Francisco on Alemany Blvd and Santa Rosa. This was a developer's office in 40s!. Arcon Construction reinforced the old box and built the second floor on the top of it, plus extended 10' to the side yard. As a result of an outstanding job, creativity and enthusiasm of its team I got 1600 sq. f. house on the conner lot, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Arcon Construction created a miracle in San Francisco that nobody ever attempted to do since 1945. 5 families lived there since then and nobody ever thought that this could be done. 300 households around were grateful for improving the view and the value of their homes. As for me, the owner, Arcon Construction changed my life for ever. This company was the only one who could realize my dream.
